Selection of Collaborative Foundation Stage Resources

Foundation and Key Stage One Resources to try out as they are, or tweak, or use as templates for your own activities!

The project holds over two hundred activities developed by enthusiastic teachers at storyprops and games workshops that we ran in the eighties. We used to run them on Saturdays and everyone found them more calming than shopping! The aim was to make books as enjoyable as possible and help children and their parents develop ownership of storytelling and story changing. We are now putting these activities online in bite size pieces, because scanning makes them quite heavy files. The activities you see here are the tip of an iceberg! We currently have thirty more packs of activities online and more are being added. However, to protect authors' and illustrators' copyrights please send us your school address and email if you want access to all the activities. Contact me at

stuart.scott@collaborativelearning.org

It won't cost anything, because the project has and will always provide 'free to download' resources. We hold props and games for most of the well known stories that have stood the test of time, plus a few more that have not. Please let us know if there is any story you would like us to put online next. Our guides to making Track Games and the use of Core Texts can be found above. Please consider attending a development workshop if we are running one near you, or ask us to run one in your school (the best place to do it) if we are not! Host school staff can attend for free!

Vital for bilingual learners, good for all other learners.
