Welcome to our revised webpages for supporting Primary Humanities Coordinators in London.

London primary humanities teachers and subject leaders

Miscellaneous Resources Page

These linked web pages, hosted by the Collaborative Learning Project, contain resources and guidance intended to support those London teachers who hold a co-ordinating responsibility for the humanities subjects in their schools and/or teach history and geography from early years through to year 6 and who have attended CPD programmes led by Kate Moorse and Stuart Scott.

The materials posted here are those either used in CPD sessions, developed under the auspices of the Collaborative Learning Project or contributed by participating teachers.

Teachers using this site are strongly encouraged to ensure that their school subscribes to the relevant subject associations (you can find links to HA, GA, PSHE, Ci Ass….) so that both they and their colleagues are able to access the wealth of guidance and support available. (This facility is also available to those holding personal membership). Some of these materials, if used in our CPD sessions, will be posted and acknowledged on this site. Links to other useful sites and resources will also be provided.

The rest of the guidance is divided into the following categories which you can find below on separate pages:

The role of 'enquiry' in history and geography
Planning
Assessment
Fieldwork
The role of the coordinator/subject leader
Pedagogy: Teaching ideas and learning activities
Local Studies
